Legacy Collection

Our Legacy Collection debuted on Taylor’s 50th anniversary in 2024 to celebrate some of Bob Taylor’s classic guitar designs. While not spec-for-spec rebuilds of the originals, these editions are heavily inspired by Bob’s early offerings and were redesigned by Bob himself. A trio of rosewood/spruce 800 Series guitars headline the collection, featuring a traditional Dreadnought 810e as well as classic six-string and 12-string Jumbos that showcase our throwback mustache-style bridge. The collection also reprises two models that honor Bob’s iconic Grand Auditorium body shape, which brought an entirely new sound and playing experience to the world of acoustic guitars. Choose between rosewood/cedar 714ce or the mahogany/cedar 514ce. All models are voiced with the traditional X-bracing architecture that Bob utilized in those days, with a modern update to include Bob’s patented neck design for an optimal playing experience. Appointed with Bob’s clean, understated aesthetic details and outfitted with LR Baggs Element VTC electronics, the Legacy Collection offers sound, style and function not found anywhere else in the Taylor line.
